What is a security / damage deposit slip used for?

Landlords, equipment-rental shops, and event organizers often collect a refundable security or damage deposit before handing over a property, equipment, or venue. Does this tool track whether the deposit has been refunded?

No. This tool only generates a payment QR for collecting the deposit. Recording that a deposit was received, and refunding it later (for example once a property or item is returned undamaged), is a manual process the collector must track themselves. This tool does not manage refund status or hold funds in escrow.

Is this different from a booking deposit?

Yes. A security deposit is typically collected against property or equipment (e.g. a rental damage deposit or a landlord's security deposit) and refunded once the item or property is returned undamaged. A booking deposit is usually collected by service businesses (salons, photographers, caterers, venues) to confirm a future appointment or event date.
